Description

A special evening celebrating Andreas Vesalius and his ground-breaking book, De Humani Corporis Fabrica.

Flemish anatomist, Andreas Vesalius broke tradition with the centuries-old theories on anatomy and was one of the first to use human dissection to illustrate the human body. His beautifully illustrated book changed the world’s approach to anatomy. We’ll have a special exhibition of anatomy books including our 1st edition of De Humani Corporis Fabrica (1543) and there’ll be a talk discussing Vesalius and his work.
