He is also the Divisional Clinical Director of Surgical Specialties at UCH and Westmoreland Street, and Director of the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health at University College LondonProfessor Haddad’s interests include the expansion of knee and hip arthroscopic techniques to deal with sports injuries, uncemented hip and knee prosthetic technology, new bearing surfaces and outcomes assessment in hip, knee and revision arthroplasty and use of allografting and other transplant and stem cell techniques in hip and knee reconstruction. His work also encompasses minimally invasive hip and knee surgery and novel strategies to manage patients with knee ligament injuries. He provides medical input at elite level for a number of sports including football, athletics, rugby, boxing and martial arts.Mr Sam Oussedik, Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at University College Hospital London Mr Sam Oussedik is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with an NHS practice at University College Hospital London. He sees private patients at The Wellington Hospital, the Princess Grace Hospital, the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health and the Lister Hospital in Chelsea. Mr Oussedik specialises in knee surgery for both sports injuries and degenerative conditions, as well as all forms of trauma surgery.Mr Oussedik has co-edited 2 books on knee replacement and pursues research in methods to improve patient outcomes following knee replacement surgery.Mr Carlos Cobiella, Head of the Upper Limb Section of the Institute of Sports, Exercise and Health at UCL Mr Carlos Cobiella is Head of the Upper Limb Section of the Institute of Sports, Exercise and Health at UCL, leading both clinical and academic activity (teaching and research) in this area. He collaborates closely with the English Institute of Sport, UK Athletics and the British Olympic Association looking after high level athletes and GB teams.He is a member of The Shoulder Unit at the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth, and enjoys all aspects of Shoulder and Elbow surgery, including the treatment of Sports injuries, arthritis and fractures. He has a keen interest in arthroscopic techniques.He is a member of faculty in numerous courses in Arthroscopic and Sports Injury Surgery, both national and international. As well as training medical students and junior doctors, he directly supervises the training of the UCH Shoulder and Elbow Fellow.He continues to publish in his field and presents his results regularly at scientific meetings.Dr Keith Meister, Head Team Physician for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club (MLB) and Director of TMI Sports Medicine Dr Keith Meister is a fully qualified surgeon that specialises in arthroscopy, reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow and knee, and the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal sports injuries.Dr Meister is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Herodicus Society, MLB Team Physician Society, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Orthopedic Association.
