On Tuesday 6th November, the RDIG is hosting a workshop entitled ‘Reviewing the access landscape for rare disease medicines’. This workshop will review the current access landscape for rare and ultra-rare medicines and explore where and why these medicines are getting stuck in the assessment process. Biopharmaceutical companies, clinicians and patient organisations will share their experiences of navigating the different routes of access for rare disease medicines, including the revised Highly Specialised Technology process, and representatives from the Office of Health Economics will explain the technicalities of assessing rare disease medicines and why current processes may not be fit for purpose. Please contact Rachael Stewart at if you are interested in attending.
