This workshop is run in association with Primary Care Ophthalmology a training organisation,who provide high quality, practical, focused training to primary care GP’s and Nurses, coveringall you need to know to provide eye care in the community.primarycareophthalmology.co.ukYour Course will be led by one of the following tutors:Miss Stella Hornby MA (Cantab) MB BChir FRCOphth MDMiss Stella Hornby has 15 years of experience in ophthalmology and is an Associate Specialistin Oxford. She runs the eye emergency department in the Oxford Eye Hospital. She has aparticular interest in primary care ophthalmology and is particularly known for her skills indiagnosis and her ‘down to earth’ common sense approach to medicine. She has also had along standing interest in low vision and promoting education about ophthalmology. She wasrecently awarded an “Excellent Teacher Award” by the medical sciences division of OxfordUniversity.Dr Andrew Partner BM DCH DRCOphth MRCGPDr Andrew Partner is a full-time GP with a special interest in Ophthalmology. He was also theRCGP Curriculum Guardian for the eye statement and the RCGP representative on the strategicadvisory group of the UK Vision Strategy up until recently. He has extensive experienceteaching GP’s and believes Primary Care is well placed to manage many eye conditions in thecommunity.Dr Anup Shah BMBS DRCOG MRCOphth MRCGP PGCE (Health)Dr Anup Shah trained in Ophthalmology obtaining his Membership to the Royal College ofOphthalmologists in 2006. He obtained his Membership to the Royal College of GeneralPractitioners in 2010. He now works as a GP Principal in Hertfordshire and a GPSI inOphthalmology with the Moorfields Eye Hospital. He is a Trainer in Primary Care with the Eastof England Deanery.
