This half day course is specifically designed to provide practical tips for GPs in dealing with patients presenting with red eye(s) or neuro-ophthalmological symptoms and signs.This session will teach you how to examine such patients without the use of sophisticated ophthalmic equipment and will provide an overview of referral criteria where appropriate.Objectives· Overview of relevant non- specialised techniques employed in examining patients with a red eye· Describe features of red eyes likely to be encountered in practice· Identify red flags and red eyes· To highlight how to perform a basic neuro–ophthalmological examination in general practice· To provide an overview of key neuro–ophthalmological diagnoses not to miss Please arrive for registration and welcome refreshments at 08:30.
