Description

This workshop supports very experienced Healthcare professionals who wish to register with the ARTP as competent to interpret diagnostic spirometry.

This interactive workshop provides an overview of spirometry interpretation. It is designed for registered Healthcare professionals who interpret diagnostic spirometry. It is assumed they are experienced and have a qualification or prior experience of performing the test.

Through informal lectures and practical sessions delivered by expert practicing clinicians, you will be able to identify your ongoing training needs in relation to the process and apply this to case studies. The practical skills required to produce technically acceptable results will be briefly covered.

At the end of the workshop you will be offered the opportunity to apply for the Spirometry assessment and place on the ARTP register – delegates can choose to register to submit a portfolio for assessment to gain a place on the National Register of Certified Professionals and Operators as qualified for Interpretation Only.

The cost of this portfolio submission option is an additional £75 to the workshop cost.

You will revise:

the importance of accurate verified spirometry equipment
the TOP TEN TIPS to assess the acceptability of a trace
apply the evidence based approach to interpretation
understand the application and assessment process for getting onto the ARTP register.
Our courses are removed from the website at least two days before the start date, so that students have all necessary information for their studies when they begin. Many of our courses fill quickly and are removed once all places are sold so we advise early booking to avoid disappointment.
