Description

In this course Dr Elaine Vickers provides an up-to-date overview of bowel cancer biology and genetics and the science    behind various treatment approaches.

These include monoclonal antibodies targeting EGFR, and small molecule such as B-Raf inhibitors. She also describes the rationale behind checkpoint inhibitors for selected patients, and treatment approaches in trials.

Elaine’s presentations are full of colourful and enlightening illustrations to help learners make sense of scientific concepts. Her descriptions avoid unnecessary jargon and are pitched so that even those with a limited understanding of cell biology are able to understand.

The content of the course will be available online after the event.
