This COPD Update Half Day workshop is designed for Healthcare professionals who have undertaken some formal COPD education, and will provide an update of new and emerging evidence in relation to the management of COPD.

Led by practising clinicians, this workshop focuses on the most up-to-date evidence and treatment options for supporting and treating patients with COPD, considering the new and emerging guidelines in the management of patients with this condition e.g. the new NICE Quality Standard for COPD.

This workshop will provide an opportunity for discussion around current strategy and best practice and will promote learning through peer support with an emphasis on practical advice and tips.

You will learn to:

Apply the latest evidence to practice in COPD
Recognise and manage exacerbations
Tailor treatment for COPD – not lung function
Be aware of newer treatment options for people with COPD
Understand the importance of getting the right diagnosis
Consider the impact of national/international guidelines on the management of COPD in the UK
Our courses are removed from the website at least two days before the start date, so that students have all necessary information for their studies when they begin. Many of our courses fill quickly and are removed once all places are sold so we advise early booking to avoid disappointment
