Description

Please note we are also running a COPD Update Half Day workshop on the same day in the afternoon, if you wish to update on both subjects at once.

This Asthma Update Half Day workshop is designed for Healthcare professionals who manage people with asthma and who want to update their knowledge and skills in this area.

Led by expert practising clinicians, the workshop focuses on the latest evidence for supporting patients in controlling their asthma and avoiding exacerbation, including the new NRAD recommendations.

You will gain an overview of the latest guidelines and new treatment options, including new inhaler devices. This is an interactive workshop, involving presentations and group discussions, held in an informal and supportive atmosphere.

Please note, if you wish to update knowledge and skills about risk, managing acute asthma, supporting self-management or tackling issues in asthma including allergic rhinitis, adolescents or occupational asthma, you should attend our full day update workshop.

You will learn to:

Apply the latest BTS/SIGN guidelines
Understand the latest recommendations on asthma diagnosis
Implement the latest treatment options
Identify the advantages and differences between new inhaler devices
Recognise severity of acute asthma
Our courses are removed from the website at least two days before the start date, so that students have all necessary information for their studies when they begin. Many of our courses fill quickly and are removed once all places are sold so we advise early booking to avoid disappointment.
